Itinerary Highlights

Day 1: Depart on your overnight flight to Milan
Day 2: Arrive in Milan where you are met your guide and driver who take you on an overview of the city before delivering you to your hotel. Dinner is at the hotel this evening.  (D)
Day 3: Today you explore the artistic highlights of Milan with your expert guide. You start with Castello Sforzeco viewing the works by Leonardo, Titian and Bellini. You then go to the church where the fresco “The Last Supper” by Leonardo is displayed. Following lunch you tour the Duomo before visiting Pinacoteca die Brera founded by Napoleon. You have dinner in the artistic quarter this evening.    (B, L, D)
Day 4: Along with your personal shopper you stroll the Via Montenaploeone, Milan’s fashion avenue. After a lunch at Bagutta you may continue shopping or return to the hotel.   (B, L, D)
Day 5: in the morning head out of the city to the town of Bergamo. You stroll through the old quarter home to the university and many antique shops and boutiques. After lunch you return to the hotel. This evening attend a performance at La Scala Opera House followed by supper.   (B, L, D)
Day 6: Your guide picks you up and takes you on the short journey to Lake Como. After lunch you attend a wine tasting of Barolo wine and then visit the silk centre. Como supplies silk to the Vatican and Valentino.   (B, L, D)
Day 7: You arise early and are taken to the balloon launching site and take off on the early morning thermals. After viewing the lake from this unusual perspective you return to earth for Champagne and brunch at a local farm. In the afternoon you go to the Aero Club Como where you board a seaplane for a flight around the shores of the lake including the lakeside mansions of Donatella Versace and George Clooney. Dinner is at a villa by the lake this evening.    (B, L, D)
Day 8: In the morning you will board your own 35 foot yacht with crew and set sail for a cruise on the lake.  You will visit Cadenabbia and stop at Villa Arconati Visconti where the opening scenes of the James Bond movie “Casino Royale” with Daniel Craig were filmed. Stop for lunch in Menaggio, walk around the town and then take your turn at the wheel heading back to the hotel. In the evening take the funicular to the top of the mountain for a farewell dinner with superb lake views.  (B, L, D)
Day 9: Your driver will take you to Milan for the return flight.

Hotel de la Ville is considered to be one of the most elegant meeting places of Milan, now known as “il salotto buono”, the hotel is patronized by fashion celebrities, show business personalities, and entrepreneurs. Very close to the Duomo, La Scala and Via Montenaploeone, it is a comfortable and tranquil place, perfect for a stay or for meetings. With its elegant furniture, it reminds one of high-class English dwellings.

While on the shores of Lake Como
The Grand Hotel Tremezzo Palace was built early in the 20th Century and was designed to be the showcase property on Lake Como. It was built on the water in a park and the park still surrounds the hotel. The hotel has three restaurants and three bars including a pizza bar for casual daytime dining. La Terrazzo offers superb cuisine with outstanding views. The hotel is known for its “water on the water” pool in which a large swimming pool is suspended on a pontoon allowing fresh water swimming without actually entering the lake. There is also a pool located in the gardens. Ultitude clients stay in lake view rooms with balconies allowing the best views in Lake Como and Bellagio.
This program has a suggested Friday departure but can depart on other days depending on your schedule. All of our programs operate with just two people unless a custom group of up to six has been requested.
