Treasures from Murano
After an hour or two of strolling through Venice, the ubiquitous and vast displays of Murano glass in every shop window and market stall begin to bombard the senses and create something of a blur. The blur becomes complete after a day or more-one truly stops "seeing" or appreciating any of the products-making it easy to overlook some of the true gems that can be found. There are still exquisite things being made on the island of Murano: one just has to look carefully.
Through a tip, the Eye was led to the unusual and beautiful creations of two native Murano masters, Andrea Vianello and Adriano dalla Valentina.
